
Jennifer specializes in a strong use of typography, which is critical to how the audience views printed design pieces. She also has a great understanding of color, which brings photos and layouts to life. She loves to work with clients, understand their audience, and use her design talents to exceed their expectations.
Jennifer enjoys learning and finding new and creative ways of doing things. While her favorite design projects are generally print design in nature, like books and magazines, she is currently interested in developing her web design skills by taking online courses and creating her own website.
Jennifer graduated Cum Laude in Graphic Design at Auburn over 15 years ago. While at Auburn, she participated in the yearbook staff as an editor for her four year tenor. During her senior year, Jennifer was an intern for the Auburn Alumni Association where she assisted the Creative Director in designing the Auburn Alumni Magazine. Jennifer also volunteered her time as a big sister, while at Auburn, for an organization called Project Uplift.
Jennifer has been in the design field for over 15 years now, with well over 300 projects under her belt. From page layouts and cover designs to logos and web graphics, she has had a variety of projects to showcase her design abilities.
Jennifer has spent most of her career in the field of publishing, designing over 200 magazines and books.
Over her design career, Jennifer has worked on various projects directed towards women including magazines and non-profit organizations.
Jennifer worked as a creative team leader for a design team within a non-profit organization, so is aware of the operations and practices that make non-profits unique. She managed budgets and found creative solutions to problems in order to achieve success in her department.
Her design experience broadened during this experience as she designed church curriculum, posters, event collateral, and t-shirts to name a few.
Jennifer worked for a Christian non-profit company and is familiar with designing for this industry.
As an Art Director for various lifestyle publications, Jennifer utilized her design skills to create layouts that spoke to the audience.
Jennifer has worked with marketing and advertising teams over her 15 years of designing and has had the opportunity to create various advertisements. In most case these ads were used in print, whether as a handout or in a magazine. Other advertisements include web graphics for promotions on the company website or social media platform.
Since Jennifer has spent most of her career in publishing she has regularly designed magazine and book covers over the past 15 years. Covers are some of her favorite projects to work on.
Jennifer has had the opportunity to design logos and icons throughout her career. Whether it is for a local bookstore, a branded section for a magazine, or friend needing a logo to start their new business she has been able to adapt to the needs of her client.
Over the past 15 years, Jennifer has had the opportunity to design various graphics for the web. She has created social media graphics, web banners and sliders, as well as update websites using CMS programs such as Drupal and Wordpress.
