Meet writer Ingrid C. from Riverdale, GA!
Q.If you had a catchphrase, what would it be?
A. Every day counts.
Q. Best advice you’ve ever received?
A. Discover the thing you love doing, serve others with it, and money will follow.
Q. Favorite hat?
A. My old, olive-colored Ralph Lauren cap; that thing was made to conceal a bad hair day!
Q. If there was a movie based on your life, what actor/actress would play you?
A. Kerry Washington
Q. What would the title of the movie be?
A. Chronicles of a Silly Scribe
Q. Favorite thing about WA?
A. Everything! WA is, hands down, the best writing platform available.
Q. Favorite writer, dead or alive?
A. I’m an avid reader, so I have favorites in multiple genres. However, I really love Stephen J. Cannell, the late mystery novelist, television screenwriter and producer. I had an opportunity to meet him in 2009 at a stop on his book tour; his talk was so encouraging–not only about the writing process but about succeeding against the odds (Cannell was born with dyslexia). He was also generous in speaking individually with each person and he gave me some great writing tips.
Q. What’s your guilty pleasure?
A. The Voice. I won’t miss an episode and spend far more time than I care to admit on voting once the show’s over. I’m addicted!
Q. Favorite breakfast food?
A. It’s probably a tie between hard boiled eggs and a strawberry-banana smoothie.
Q. Little known fact about you?
A. I’m a pretty decent singer.
Q. What can’t you live without?
A. Friends & Family, Faith and Farm Fresh Foods.
Q. What advice would you like to leave off with for your fellow writers?
A. Embrace your gift, write every day, be grateful for every opportunity and above all, refuse to allow room for discouragement from others.
