Elissa recently completed her Master of Fine Arts degree in fiction writing at Western Michigan University, where she taught award-winning composition at the college level for three years. She has judged Montcalm Community College's creative writing contest and helped read and evaluate MFA fiction applications for Western Michigan this past winter. She also serves as the nonfiction editor for Third Coast, a national literary journal.
Elissa's writing as appeared in: NANO Fiction, Midwestern Gothic, Quarterly West, Harpur Palate, The Chariton Review, SmokeLong Quarterly, and PANK. She also regularly contributes bar reviews and product spotlights to Alcoholmanac, a nightlife and drink culture almanac based in Milwaukee.
In addition to her writing and editing experience, she can offer attention to detail in language, prompt work turnaround, and openness to suggestions for revision.
