Cindy's experience with the healthcare industry started in college. She focused on researching and studying communication between doctors and patients when it came to private practices, hospitals, and mental health/addiction clinics.
While focusing on doctor/patient communication, Cindy also studied mental health/addictions. She focused primarily on the impact of prolonged drug/alcohol use, the state of mental health/addiction clinics, and new treatments for addictions and mental health. Cindy attended classes and lectures on alcohol dementia, history of mental health/addiction clinics, and social/health impact of addictions.
Projects Cindy has worked on include writing brochures and information pamphlets for patients, creating systems of communication for doctors that allowed patients to send and receive messages/information, and writing articles in an easy-to-understand format.
Other projects include writing blogs, articles, copywriting for medical/pharmaceutical/healthcare websites, and crafting product descriptions for medical equipment, supplies, and medication.
Topics of interest that Cindy has covered include: diabetes, Crohn's Disease, addictions/mental health, Alzheimer's, cancer care, and autoimmune diseases. Other topics of interest also include dental care and helping patients improve their overall health.
