Prior to freelancing, Erin worked at Kennedy Communications, a Washington D.C.-based communications consulting firm, serving as Senior Editor, Deputy Creative Director and Vice President for New Media. As Senior Editor, she assumed final editing responsibility for all written material, including advertising collateral, company and client web copy, direct mail content, and client proposals. As Deputy Creative Director, Erin continued her editing duties, while working closely with the Creative Director to manage a team of on-site and off-site writers, graphic designers and web designers. Erin also made strategic design decisions for direct mail and print marketing collateral. During her final year at Kennedy Communications, Erin helped co-found the company's digital strategy division, serving as Vice President for New Media. She managed all aspects of digital strategy campaigns, including SEO optimization, web content production, and social media marketing.
Previously, Erin worked as a writer and researcher for the Washington, D.C.-based communications consulting firm Malchow, Schlackman, Hoppey & Cooper. Erin got her start as a copywriter for radio broadcast and web publication at Voice of America.
