student run paper, the staff at The Metropolitan made all editorial decisions for
their own section. Assigned stories to reporters and copy edited their work. Did the
design for all pages of the features section. Posted all stories to the paper’s website
with headlines curated for SEO.

August 2012-December 2012 Press Relations and Marketing Intern at Colorado Ballet
Shot video and photos of both rehearsals and special events, edited video for You-
Tube, wrote Press releases, and maintained social media accounts.

January 2014-May 2014 Intern at Out Front Magazine (based in Denver, CO)

Wrote articles for both online and print while working as an intern and staff writer,
pitched and wrote blog posts, photographs for print and online, performing arts
reviews, and copy editing before going to print.

August 2015-May 2016 Student at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism (New York)
Coverage in all five boroughs, expansion on multimedia skills such as video
and online centric writing. Photo Editor for the Off the News class, which
focused primarily online deadline writing. Wrote a master’s project focusing
on environmental journalism, specifically the human impact on the sea
turtle populations in the North Atlantic Region. Second semester courses
included Food Writing, Managing the 21st Century Newsroom, and Multi-
Platform Design and Storytelling. Articles written for class have been published on theink.nyc, thebrooklynink.com, as well as nytable.com.
