Ruth serves as a Board member of CASA of SoLA, which stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates of South Louisiana. CASA is recruits volunteers to serve as advocates for the numerous children in the court system, such as in foster care. As a CASA Board member, Ruth serves as chairperson of the Community Relations Committee. Ruth also works at a non-profit, which promotes self-sufficiency.
While one is a volunteer position, and the other one a paid, both positions enable Ruth to gain experience and understanding of the non-profit world that many others have not. Her experience also enables her to have an insight that can assist clients in promoting their non-profits, or the topic itself. Therefore, she has placed a 0 because payment did not apply.
